Job Duties:

• Assist attorney in drafting and preparing court motions, complaints, contracts, and other legal documents related to business law.
• Assist attorneys in preparing appellate briefs, court motions, and other legal documents for immigration cases.
• Assist attorneys in drafting court motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, and demand letters for personal injury cases.
• Ensure all drafted legal materials reflect proper legal terminology and evidentiary requirements before submitting for attorney review.
• Research rules and regulations concerning foreign direct investment, corporate structure, and labor law requirements in the United States; draft legal memoranda for attorney review and explain findings to foreign clients.
• Utilize professional legal research tools—including LexisNexis and Westlaw—to examine case law, administrative decisions, and legal strategies relevant to immigration and personal injury cases.
• Support the preparation of immigration petitions and applications filed with federal agencies, as well as appellate briefs and other related filings.
• Ensure all legal filings comply with U.S. immigration laws, procedural requirements, and professional legal standards.
• Review and investigate all documents and case files related to individual clients’ cases to identify potential causes of action and applicable legal theories, then report findings to the attorney.
• Study and understand individual case procedures to provide accurate updates and information to existing clients.
• Conduct new case intake interviews and perform client case follow-ups through in-person meetings or telephone calls.
• Provide information to clients on pending cases by interpreting complex legal terminology into clear, understandable language, and respond to preliminary client inquiries under attorney supervision.
• Screen potential clients by reviewing legal documents and case files to investigate facts and applicable laws, identify potential causes of action and possible relief, and report findings to the attorney.
